Terms and Conditions

  • When you rent from Lending Luxury Rentals, you are agreeing to follow these terms and conditions. Lending Luxury Rentals can update or change these terms at any time, and it’s your responsibility to make sure you understand the latest version before renting. 

 

 Rental Use

  • The item you rent should only be worn by the person who booked it. Your rental is only confirmed once full payment has been made. We may refuse service to anyone at any time for any reason. 

 


Payment, Refunds & Cancellations

  • If you no longer need/want to rent your agreed garment/s for any reason, you will be offered a full store credit to be used towards future rentals, however this only applies if your rental has not been posted or collected by the renter.

  • We do not offer refunds or credits if a garment doesn’t fit — you should use our size guide or contact us beforehand to check sizing. 

  • If your item arrives damaged (that wasn’t already noted in the listing), email photos within 6 hours of delivery. If approved and you return it unworn the next business day, we will fully refund your payment back to your original payment method. 

 


Taking Care of Your Rental

  • You agree to take reasonable care of the garment while wearing it. You agree to look after the garment/s you rent as like they are your own. Be cautious with makeup, jewellery, and coloured drinks to avoid stains. Please do not wash the garment yourself — we take care of professional cleaning. 

 


 Damage, Loss or Repair Fees

  • If an item is returned with stains, tears, burns, or other damage, you will be responsible for repair costs or dry-cleaning fees. 

  • If the garment cannot be repaired, you will need to pay for the full retail value or a replacement fee. 

  • If the item is lost or stolen, you must cover its full replacement cost. 

  • Replacement amounts are due within 30 days of your scheduled return date. 

  • If you fail to meet these obligations, Lending Luxury may take further action to recover costs, including legal steps. 

 


Postage & Delivery Terms

  • Orders are dispatched between Monday and Wednesday via NZ Post overnight courier.

  • Once an item is posted, it’s your responsibility — we are not liable for delays or loss in transit. 

  • Rural delivery may take longer, and orders won’t be sent early unless requested. 

  • If your rental doesn’t arrive in time due to postal delays, we may offer store credit minus postage costs or a date exchange, but not refunds. The rental must be posted back within 2 days to qualify. 

  • If you provide the wrong shipping address, or choose an incorrect postage method, and the garment is lost or delayed as a result, you will be responsible for the full replacement cost. 

  • If you lose or damage the return bag, contact us immediately to arrange another shipping option — you are responsible for any extra postage costs. 

 


Returns and Late Fees

  • Return the garment to the post office before 12pm the next business day after your event. This must be handed over the counter NOT in drop boxes. If the return is late and no alternative arrangement was agreed to, $25 per day late fees will apply. 

 


 

Delivery Responsibility Notice

  • After the parcel is delivered, it is your responsibility to collect it and keep it secure. If it is lost, stolen, or damaged after delivery, you may be charged up to the full retail value.


 Booking Cut‑Off Times

  • Postal orders must be made by Wednesday before 1 pm. 

  • Pick‑up orders can be taken right up until the selected date if available
